The Church was pleased to host an Affordable Community Housing Convening at The Church in Sag Harbor. The East End is grappling with a housing shortage and a crisis of affordability. To unpack this complex issue, The Church brought together community leaders, legislators, developers, and financial industry to explore some of the key issues at stake. The convening reviewed current efforts to address affordability in the East End, discuss solutions developed in similar communities nationally, and address the role the cultural community can play in these efforts.
