Sag Harbor Police Chief Austin J. McGuire is our featured Knowledge Friday speaker for the month of April! Known locally as “A.J.,” McGuire has lived in Sag Harbor for 23 years and has held the position of Police Chief since 2016. Prior to working in Sag Harbor, A.J. held four different positions over the course of 18 years at the East Hampton Town Police Department: Police Officer, Detective, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. A.J. lives in Sag Harbor with his two daughters. A.J. will be joined by The Church’s Co-Founder, April Gornik, who will interview A.J. on his career in law enforcement, ties to the village, and the unique way he experiences it while keeping the peace.
