Oct 30th - Nov 19th
Cusi Cram is a first-generation native New Yorker whose parents originally came from Bolivia and Scotland. She is a playwright, screenwriter, director, educator, curator, performer, and a passionate advocate for under-represented writers. Cusi’s work often focuses on the challenges of forging an authentic self in a society that wants you to do and be one thing. She is particularly interested in crafting stories centering on thorny and complex female-identified and non-binary characters and examining the challenges of moving through the world in bodies that are not always embraced by mainstream American society. Currently, she is the Associate Chair of the Dramatic Writing Program at NYU, Tisch. She is a graduate of Brown University and The Lila Acheson Playwrights Program at Juilliard.
