Samuel Havens, curator of the exhibition Master Impressions: Artists and Printers of the South Fork (1965-2010), will be joined by our Chief Curator Sara Cochran, and esteemed artist and educator Norm Paris, in a lively dialogue and exploration of the exhibition and printmaking processes.
Sam and Sara will lead guests on a tour of the exhibition, outside our normal gallery hours, providing an exclusive experience. A Q&A will follow the tour and discussion.
Norm Paris, an East End artist and printmaker, brings to the conversation a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the craft, its history, and its placement in contemporary art. With an expansive career as an educator, including time spent teaching within the Painting and Printmaking program at the Yale School of Art, Norm is able to shed light on the ways in which Master Impressions enters the global conversation and expands on the East End’s participation in that narrative.
