Visitors spent their Sunday afternoon immersed in the words of American Poet Grace Schulman.
"Again, the Dawn: New and Selected Poems, 1976-2022," is Schulman’s latest book of poems and her crowning achievement to date. Schulman splits her time in New York and East Hampton, drawing inspiration from the hectic urban life and from the contrasting calm beauty of the East End. "Again, the Dawn" is constructed of poems from eight books and includes a wide variety of new poems. This collection spans decades and the power of Schulman’s world perspective is as relevant as ever. Schulman ranges through grief, politics, the world, art, and music, as well as human joys and sufferings. She lives in New York City and in East Hampton, though her recent work shows her devotion to the history and culture of our land.
She spoke about her life in poetry and her life in the East End and shared new poems inspired by Springs.
