Robert Taylor
Dec 5th - 18th
Robert Taylor is a graduate of Stony Brook’s MFA program. He is the recipient of the 2018 Joseph Kelly Prize in Creative Writing and the 2018 Southampton Graduate Arts Excellence in Service Award. A writer of color born and raised on Long Island, his fiction, inspired by science fiction and horror, reinvents his experiences with identity and sexuality. You can find his most recent work "Photo Story" in The Palisades Review, "The Way She Stretched Whatever Limbs Were Left" in The Molotov Cocktail and “The Abductions” in the Southampton Review.
During his residency, Taylor will examine his experiences with race and sexuality, reimagining them through writing as horror or the surreal, exploring how they intersect with time and social connectedness.
