Ursala Hudson
Jun 12th - 25th
Ursala Hudson (Kadusné) is an interdisciplinary artist of English, Filipino and Alaska Native (Tlingit) descent, best known for her textile work. She is T’ak Deintaan clan from the Head House of the Raven moiety. The exposure to Tlingit culture and traditions in tandem with the dominant Western society have cultivated a blurred world view and esoteric philosophies on life and art-making. Ursala’s woven works and sustainability-crated garments have walked the runway at Indigenous Fashion Week Toronto, Adäka Festival in British Columbia, and the SWAIA runway invitational in Santa Fe, NM. She currently resides Southwest Colorado with her husband, sculpture artist Chris Haas, and their two daughters.
