All the world's a stage: Love is a verbA writers' spoken word and open mic night

Welcome to All the World's a Stage - a new series for creative artists using words as their medium.
All forms were and will be celebrated and explored: poetry, prose, fiction, essays, rap, spoken word etc/, from novices at age sixteen to seasoned and acclaimed published authors - and everything in between. At our inaugural event, each speaker shared one work related to love, in its varied meanings and incarnations. The Church transformed its space into a bohemian-style writer’s night club, with café table seating in addition to traditional lecture format.

Presenters included: Heather Buchanan, Bill Goldstein, Almond Zigmund, Amir Idris, Talena Mascali, Kate Mueth, Lora Tucker, Marta Lucía Vargas, and Isabelle Calista Caplin. Following the segment of curated writers there was an open mic. A light reception with refreshments, cheese, and sweet treats was available in conjunction with the program, generously provided by our sponsors Cavaniola's Gourmet and Wölffer Estate. (Thank you!)

This program was made possible by the generous support of our sponsors: Lena Kaplan, Ann Ciardullo and Keith Green, and Alex McNear and Robert Stein. Thank you immensely for making this program a reality.

Additional thank you to our media partner James Lane Post and to writers Kathy Engel and Heather Buchanan for helping put together the roster of writers.
