Attendees traveled through time with the first public screening of When I Was Your Age, a short film conceived by Bill Persky and Finny Dianora-Brondal, based on a concept from Bill’s career as a five-time Emmy Award-winning director, writer, and producer.

In celebration of our Reflections on Ellington concert, participants joined us on November 9th for a 1940s Style Dance Class.

On Thanksgiving weekend and Native American Heritage month we joined together for The Song Bird Series, featuring Thunderbird Sisters and a guest performance by singer/songwriter, humanitarian, and Native American Music Awards (NAMMY) nominee, Starlight Tyler.

A four-concert festival that spanned three evenings and culminated with a matinee performance, the performances consisted of a mixture of operatic repertory, musical theatre, songs and lieder covering a musical panorama and highlighted the talent of six rising stars of immense talent.

Udofia read and performed excerpts from several of the plays in her nine-play cycle, The Ufot Family Cycle, which envisions the immigrant experience of a singular Nigerian family from their arrival in America in 1968 through 2051.

We was pleased to welcome best-selling investigative journalist and author Isabel Vincent to speak about her newest book, Overture of Hope: Two Sisters’ Daring Plan That Saved Opera’s Jewish Stars from the Third Reich.

The Church was pleased to welcome Pierson High School seniors for a performance of "Silent Strings" an ensemble of music and poetry celebrating the joys and wonders of the natural environment.

We were thrilled to have best-selling authors Jill Bialosky and A.M. Homes in conversation about their newest novels, The Deceptions by Bialosky and The Unfolding by Homes.

The Church was honored to hear from the expert who selected the 16 rare and classic guitars currently on display– renowned guitarist G.E. Smith. G.E. spoke on the beautifully crafted guitars– many of which come from his private collection.

“Come as you aren’t” was the tagline for MONSTER SMASH, a Halloween costume dance party with proceeds benefitting The Church.

On Halloween from 5:30PM-7PM, following the Pumpkin Trail, The Church invited everyone to enter our Community Costume Contest. Judges declared first, second, and third place winners for three different categories: children (12 and under), adults/teens and pets.

The Church was excited to host Hamptons Jazz Fest for seven concerts this past summer.
