We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Audrey Flack, internationally acclaimed painter, sculptor, and pioneer of photorealism. Honoring her life and legacy, we have reimagined her scheduled artist talk and book signing as read-in of her memoir in her honor.

AUDREY FLACK was the first woman, along with Mary Cassatt, to be inducted into the historic Janson’s History of Art text. Her works are in major museums in the United States and throughout the world. She is the author of four books, including Art & Soul (Penguin USA 1991) and her latest memoir, Audrey Flack: With Darkness Came Stars, which has received rave reviews from the New York Times as well as a large number of readers. The memoir focuses on what really happened in the personal lives of abstract expressionists as well as dealing with two children, on of whom was severely autistic. Currently, Audrey Flack lives and works both in east Hampton and in New York City.
